Born in Ängelholm, Sweden on January 14th, 1962, Jorgen started his music career at the age of 16. Upon playing an electric guitar at a friends house in 1978, Jörgen said, "I knew what was my true calling."

After performing in several bands, he landed himself a solo record deal with CBS Records in 1987, and released two albums under the artist name Shane. It wasn´t until 1993 when he wrote the song guld i dina ögon, which became a hit for Swedish megastar Carola, and as a result, Jörgen decided to become a full time songwriter.

Jörgen joined the now legendary Cheiron Studios which was spearheaded by Denniz Pop and Max Martin in 1997. Directly after, he caught his first international break with the song Will Be Yours written for Boyzone. His two songs on Britney Spears break through album Baby One More Time in 1999; Sometimes and You Drive Me Crazy are singles which turned Jörgen into a superstar songwriter! Since then, Jörgen has become one of the worlds most sought after songwriters with numerous hit songs, chart positions and awards following in his trail!
